25 years of company history of scdsoft AG
Founded on October 1, 1997
scdsoft was founded by Peter Pfeifer on October 1, 1997. Initially, the company operated as dcsoft GmbH and was later renamed scdsoft GmbH. From the beginning, the Technologiepark Karlsruhe was our home. Since then, scdsoft AG has specialized as an SAP Service Partner in the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) area and its technologies.
Merger with Wera AG
On November 1, 2004, scdsoft GmbH merged with Wera AG to expand the university network and strengthen regional project acquisition. scdsoft AG adopted the legal form from WERA AG and retained the name and business model from scdsoft GmbH. From then on, we operated in the market as scdsoft AG.
Expansion of the Board of Directors from May 1, 2007
On May 1, 2007, Uwe Temmer, former SAP Consulting Manager for SAP HCM, was appointed as an additional member of the scdsoft AG Board of Directors to expand sales and business areas, as well as project business. As the team grew, there was a change in office location within the Technologiepark, moving from Albert-Nestler-Str. 11 to Albert-Nestler-Str. 10 across the street.
New Office Space in the Anniversary Year 2017
Just as during the 10-year anniversary in 2007, a change in location also took place during the 20th anniversary year in 2017. Since then, scdsoft AG has been located in Albert-Nestler-Str. 21. The entire team contributed to the interior design planning, resulting in an attractive office solution.

We continually make updates and optimizations based on feedback from regular employee meetings. This allows us to provide new perspectives for our business areas: SAP HXM Consulting, Application Management, and Development/Technology/Add-On Solutions, in addition to our daily project work.
Expansion of the Board of Directors from April 1, 2021, and Establishment of New Business Areas “Transformation” and “SAP Security & Compliance”
On April 1, 2021, Thomas Kastner was appointed as an additional member of the scdsoft AG Board of Directors by the Board in consultation with the Supervisory Board. His role is to expand the business areas of Transformation and SAP Security & Compliance and establish a presence in the market.
The Business Area of System Transformations & Migrations already plays a significant role and will become even more important in the coming years. We support our customers in building a future-proof SAP HXM landscape, regardless of the technological basis.
For the topic of SAP Security & Compliance, scdsoft AG, together with Thomas Kastner, founded the subsidiary smarterSec GmbH on July 1, 2021.
25th Anniversary Celebration on September 22, 2022
Particularly with our employees, supervisory board members, partners, and other companions, we had a common reason to celebrate. On September 22, 2022, we were able to celebrate our 25th anniversary with a company celebration.
