Automation of business processes is increasingly being adopted by companies, with many turning to various IT solutions for assistance. This potential is not limited to production processes; it can also be harnessed in the HR domain to gain significant added value.

The Sto SE & Co. KGaA recognized this potential as well. As part of the company-wide digitalization strategy, they decided to implement SAP HR self-services based on SAP Fiori technology. In addition to SAP standard applications for employees (Employee Self-Service), corresponding applications for managers (Manager Self-Services) were also introduced.

Since there were no SAP solutions available for certain requirements, the decision was made to utilize three add-on solutions from scdsoft AG:

  • The Vacation Planner for planning, requesting, and approving leaves of absence, along with an interactive team calendar.
  • The Certification Service to provide employees with their various digital certificates.
  • The Fiori Reporting Cockpit to offer managers a straightforward way to access HR reports for their employees.
