HR self-services as a building block of the digitalization strategy
Introduction of ESS & MSS with SAP Fiori
Automation of business processes is increasingly being adopted by companies, with many turning to various IT solutions for assistance. This potential is not limited to production processes; it can also be harnessed in the HR domain to gain significant added value.
The Sto SE & Co. KGaA recognized this potential as well. As part of the company-wide digitalization strategy, they decided to implement SAP HR self-services based on SAP Fiori technology. In addition to SAP standard applications for employees (Employee Self-Service), corresponding applications for managers (Manager Self-Services) were also introduced.

Since there were no SAP solutions available for certain requirements, the decision was made to utilize three add-on solutions from scdsoft AG:
- The Vacation Planner for planning, requesting, and approving leaves of absence, along with an interactive team calendar.
- The Certification Service to provide employees with their various digital certificates.
- The Fiori Reporting Cockpit to offer managers a straightforward way to access HR reports for their employees.
