In many companies, it is still common for employees, managers, and works council members to log in to the respective Employee Self-Service (ESS) or Manager Self-Service (MSS) using their SAP username and password.
Password reset can be a significant manual task for HR and IT departments
Where there is work, there are occasionally setbacks, and it often happens that users forget their passwords. Unless Single Sign-On (SSO) with corresponding password management is implemented, the SAP user password needs to be reset. Unfortunately, there is no other solution in the SAP standard than going through the HR department for this.
To spare both users and the HR service team from this manual and inefficient process, we have developed a self-service solution that allows end-users to reset their passwords independently. We now offer this Password Reset Service for SAP Fiori and logging into the Launchpad.
scdsoft Self-Service for SAP Fiori Launchpad Users
By entering the SAP username and date of birth, users verify themselves with the service. An email is then sent to their official email address. This email contains a link to reset the password. A new password that complies with password policies is sent via email once again and can now be used by the end-user to log in to the SAP Fiori Launchpad (ESS or MSS). This initial password must be changed by the user during the login process.
By implementing this solution, you can save your HR service team a significant number of requests from your employees while ensuring a secure concept for resetting SAP passwords.
